McDougalling with Shannon

A few days ago, I joined a forum for people who follow The McDougall Program. Then yesterday, I took a bit of a leap and joined their Maximum Weight Loss (MWL) forum. The principles of MWL are basically McDougalling but with fewer refined foods, and lower calorie density. I'm looking at it as kind of a jump-start, and if the MWL part is too hard, I'll go back to just plain old Starch Solution. I started this blog today to document my journey, and as a place to host my food photos so I can share them with the forum.
I do like tracking how my numbers do, so here's the boring list of my latest body numbers:
Starting weight 10/22/23: 280
Started MWL 11/11/23, still at 280 lbs.
Last BP at the doctor 6/2/23: 143/84
Lipids 2/1/23: Chol 173; HDL 42; LDL 97 Triglyceride 168
I think I will post a daily food-photodump here. I keep a daily journal on the forum, so I probably don't need to do that here, as well. If I come up with any cool recipes, I'll post them here, as well.
This is for me, but I'd also love to hear from you. Let's see if this way of eating can heal this old heart of mine.
